If you like British food then the Swan is a restaurant near the Tate Modern where you can have a lovely sit down meal for breakfast, lunch, dinner or afternoon tea.

A stone’s throw from Borough Market and 10 minutes from the Tate Modern, Hixter was originally a metal box factory and is lauded as one of the most unique and versatile venues south of the river. The now restaurant pays homage to its origins with exposed brick and metalwork featured throughout.
Chicken, steak, and most recently, fish and seafood form the heart of the menu showcasing the best of British ingredients. There is also a fantastic Brunch menu for those looking for a special brunch near the Tate Modern.

The Boot and Flogger is a lovely pub, where you will be treated like family and served like a king! The food is British and filling, steaks, pies, mash, fish cakes and all of the pub grub staples like chips and nibbles are available.
Very down to earth and not pretentious at all, this is a great restaurant stop off after the Tate. A very local feel to a very central pub.
The wines are not to be ignored at Boot and Flogger in London Bridge, with a fantastic range available by the glass and bottle. Enjoy a rare vintage label from the special list of fine wines, while sinking into a plush leather armchair and admiring the wood panelling.

If you are looking for a cafe near the Tate Modern then look no further than Theo’s. Theo’s is a nice little cafe that serves up different food options every day. There are usually two hot dishes and a few salad options as well as lighter meals and sandwiches.
The prices are extremely reasonable, making this a great option for those looking for a very cheap eat near the Tate Modern.
